Lalinde weekly market, Lalinde
Hosted each Thursday morning in this pretty town in the Dordogne
Lalinde is part of a traditional mixed farming region, with the cultivation of cereals and dairy products. The local soils also allow the growing of tobacco. The crafts Lindois consists of mostly small family businesses.
As with most French towns you will find that market day is a particularly social occasion. Lalinde has a market every Thursday morning from 08:00 to 12:30, with stalls that are filled with fresh local produce and the whole town or village tends to come out to do their shopping and meet their friends and neighbours. The Saturday market is a much smaller market which is hosted under the Halle. But it is equally as well filled with local produce from farms in the area.
