Enjoy a relaxing day close to nature as you canoe along the river and explore the waterways of this UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
There are various canoes and kayaks for hire from single person to family size. You will be proved with a life jacket or buoyancy aid but it is essential that you know how to swim.
Who should go
The river is classified as a level 1, which means that is is easy with little or no difficulty. So it is accessible to all. Children under the age of 5 however are not allowed to participate.
Where to lunch
You will have the opportunity to stop in the villages, to eat in a restaurant or brasserie, or you can bring your picnic for one of the many pebble beaches that await you.
Directions
There are 2 hire points along the river. Vitrac - where there is a large public parking area available, or Beynac, where again there are public parking spaces.
